Do I buy NOW?
With the forecast of further increases of interest rates on the horizon, many of our clients are asking, “when is the best time to purchase?”
Once a purchase is made the rate will not vary. Our lenders interest rates are fixed. With the upward trend of the interest rates, it is of benefit to you to consider purchasing now before another increase.
If you are thinking of purchasing a vehicle, caravan, boat or heavy equipment, take advantage of the fixed interest rate now, before the next interest rate rise.
For further information contact one of our brokers or contact us.
Do You Have a Will?
Do you have a Will and is it up to date?
Why is a Will important?
Having a Will in place guarantees that your assets will be distributed as you would like them to be. Leaving a clear guide to your chosen executor/s will avoid any disputes in "who gets what".
It is recommended a Will be reviewed every 3 - 5 years to ensure it still reflects your wishes.
Have you recently married, divorced or has your financial circumstances changed?
It is important to know that your Will is revoked or cancelled if you get married, unless it is made in contemplation of marriage. Divorce does not revoke a Will but it cancels any provision in favour of the former spouse.
A Will also provides you the opportunity to name guardians for your children, establish a trust or donate to a charity.
FREE Will Service
The Public Trustee offers a professional, free, Will making service to all Queenslanders over the age of 18.
Their process is quick and easy and their professional trained staff ensure that nothing is overlooked. They also have a legal team on hand to clarify any complex details.
Average Wealth Increase
Despite record spending on credits cards, the wealth of Australians had soared 21 per cent in last 12 months.
Nationally, Australians have an average wealth of about $60,000 each as househould assets continue to rise.
CommSec's Craig James believes the jump in wealth is due to a stronger sharemarket and increased inflows into superannuation. Mr James said in the past three years the average financial wealth of Australians had risen 70 per cent.
World Cheapest Car
Due to hit the market later this year for just 100,000 rupees (A$2,835), the new Nano car is set to revolutionise the market of 1.1 billion people.
The four-door five-seater family car built by India's giant Tata Group, is targeted at Indians hoping to trade up to four wheels from a motorcycle.
The Tata Nano, has a small 33bhp 624cc engine at the rear, has no air conditioning or electric windows and no power steering for the basic model. A no frills family vehicle.
That's all for this month's edition.
In closing, we hope you have enjoyed this newsletter and look forward to some feedback
